In 2010, Mr. Jobs declared, “no one” would want to buy a phone with a big screen. The industry has proved that his sizing philosophy wasn’t entirely magical as most of his ideas.
Apple fans craved for iPhones with big screen, they finally got it with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus sitting at 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch respectively. Of course, they both sold like hotcakes.
The question on the lips of everyone now is, would Apple stick with these display size or move to 6-inch after getting impressive results from the reception of the iPhone 6 and 6 plus?
Industry analyst Timothy Arcuri believes the tech giant would take a step backward in 2015 and move towards 4-inch phones once again. The phone tipped for this U-turn is an unannounced iPhone 6S mini.
Arcuri of Cowen and Company further says, that it’s possible Apple release three flagship phones in 2015. Two of them will see a upgrade in specs, while a third model, reportedly iPhone 6S mini would have similar specs with Apple iPhone 5S.
The analyst said his source is pretty much reliable and has equally confined in him that the iPhone 6S mini would look very much similar to the iPhone 5S, but Apple will change the design to look like the iPhone 6.
We contacted Apple but nothing came up. Arcuri’s information could be based on existing rumours out there in the wild, but his own bit, looks a little bit legit.
However, this can’t be taken seriously, we will take it with a grain of salt for now. We really doubt Apple would be willing take a step backward with an outdated specs, available on the iPhone 5S.
