South Korean mobile giant Samsung has finalized plans to release the Android 4.4 KitKat update for ten of its products in the Galaxy series
The Samsung Galaxy S3, Galaxy S3 Mini, Galaxy S4 Active, Galaxy S4 Zoom, Galaxy S4 Active, Galaxy Mega 6.3 has been tiped to get the Android 4.4 Anrdoid Kitkat update. Others include the Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy Note 8.0 as well as Galaxy Tab 7.0.
What’s missing from the list is the Galaxy S4 Mini, as well as a long range of Galaxy Tab models. Samsung Galaxy S4 users received the update in January; Galaxy Note 3 users were also gifted with the firmware update at a latter time. However, a few parts of Europe seem to have been excluded from the process.

Samsung do not traditionally update the OS of their devices as they are left with original market versions, but with the KitKat, which is reported to be currently available on less than two percents of Android devices, mobile vendors would be enticed to make their products eligible for the firmware update.
Motorola recently acquired by Lenovo and HTC have released updates for some of their older devices, but the comparison won’t make much sense, since the South Korean company is known for mass producing different range of gadgets running on Andriod Operating System. Hence, it would be more challenging for Samsung to make its legion of products receive the Android 4.4 KitKat update in rapid succession.
